These powers combined with Emma's great wealth attracted the attention of The Hellfire Club, an elite social organization that conspired to achieve world domination through economic and political means. Emma Frost quickly ascended the ranks and assumed the title of White Queen. Years later Emma would leave the Hellfire Club and serve as headmistress of Generation X and also as a member of the X-Men.
