Master Replicas Star Wars Emperor Palpatine's Cane and Cloak Clasp Limited Edition.

In the final episode of the Star Wars saga Emperor Palpatine was a gnarled old man. An ancient-looking human, he had pale skin, and searing, sickly yellow eyes. He wore a heavy dark cloak, and carried a glossy, black cane. The Emperor's cane is twisted and warped resembling the physique of the evil Sith Lord. The hooded cloak he wears is held shut at the neck with a crudely shaped, polished, black clasp.

The original Emperor's cane and clasp props seen in Return of the Jedi are currently in the Lucasfilm archive in Northern California. The Master Replicas design team took photographs and measurements of the props in the archive as reference material to be used when designing our replicas. For the first time ever, Lucasfilm allowed molds to be pulled directly from the clap and cane props so that intricate geometry could be replicated perfectly.

The glossy, ebony finish of the original props was achieved by coating the black base material with a high-build clear resin. We have duplicated the lustrous finish on our replicas in much the same way. The Master Replicas cane replica is made of cast resin with a steel core added for strength. Our cane replica is intended for display only, therefore we do not recommend using it as a walking aid because it could be damaged under extreme pressure. We have also attached a rubber foot to the end of the cane to protect the tip. The cloak clasp repilca is made with pins exactly like the ones used on the original prop.
